Dear Oppo,
HELP. I've been trying to get the rear axle for my Ion Redline for over a month; one junkyard ripped us off by selling us one with drum brakes, the other one said they had the axle, moved the car, and then broke the weld points in the process, rendering it useless.
In order to get this on the road I am now getting the icky drum brake axle put on it just so I can get it on the road! This cannot stand; can anyone help me locate the axle for this thing for under $200?!

How hard is it to do a brake swap from the drums to your original disc setup?
I wouldn't drive the car with rear drums instead of discs with the disc/disc braking system.

Doing the brake swap isn't hard at all. Driving it is just going to suck a little, and this is meant to be a suckless driving experience (except for the forced induction).
I mean, don't get me wrong, the car is still tuned incorrectly; I have to balance the cost/benefit of not having a car I've paid for and not being able to tune it vs. driving it on the drums, and at this point I just want my car!

I forgot about the Pontiac!!
The attempt before this one was the SS interchange but the junkyard lied through its teeth about it. x_x

i'd cross shop with Cobalt SS and that one Pontiac.
There is one in Columbia getting parted out
EDIT: not selling drivetrain stuff :'(

They're in Cleveland x_x Looks like I'm going to have to take the ignition upgrades for the Honda off the budget...Or something. I detest rebudgeting, mostly because it's so difficult for me XP

dang :'( I would of bet anything that rear subframe assembly was easier to locate
